Women in Tech Weekly Issue 9

It’s that day of the week again and I’m very excited to share this week’s news and resources!

Enjoy, you beautiful humans:

Celebrations ??

Sara got a new position in New York!

In her own words:

“I was working as a web developer engineer in France and I applied for a job in New York. I had to do a training in aris for 3 months and now I’m finally starting my new position in New York as a front integrator and publisher operations. I’m so excited for that, at the same time I’m so motivated to work on some personal projects (websites and apps). More celebrations to come… “

Wanda got into the post-bacc Comp Sci program she’s been applying to all year for the summer term!

In her own words:

“After a year of applying to schools and jobs without a technical degree, I got accepted into OSU’s online Computer science program! It’s a second bachelor’s degree so I’m so excited to pivot into a new career!!”

Y'all, I GOT ACCEPTED ? into the Computer Science Post-Baccalaureate program I've been applying to for the last year. My advising appointment is tomorrow and I start in a few short weeks. ? I can't even explain how much this means to me. I've been working toward this career change for the last two years. I've been job hunting without the technical degree during this time, but do think that working through this program will help me learn the skills I'm still lacking and network to better opportunities. Not everyone gets to go back to school, and if I had more student loans from my previous degree, I'm not sure I could have been able to make this choice. So I am grateful beyond words, a little scared, but ready to work my ? off, stay adaptable, and provide a better future for my family. LET'S DO THIS. ZRÓBMY TO.
