November 10: Women in Tech Weekly Issue 84

In Partnership with National Cybersecurity Career Awareness Week – shared by Kaspersky

Happy Tuesday and what a great time for all women all over the world! Kamala Harris became the first female, first Black and first South Asian vice president-elect in the US.

“While I may be the first woman in this office, I will not be the last,”

Kamala Harris

Women need to be in high-ranking positions and I know that this will inspire generations to come 🥰 Because representation matters! It’s time to celebrate some amazing women who are also making their dreams and ambitions a reality – while inspiring others around them ❤️

If you’d like to submit anything for next week’s issue, please do so using the submission form at the bottom of this post.

Celebrations 🥂🎉

Guzel officially started her YOUTUBE CHANNEL!

In her own words:

“Actually, I have been thinking about starting a youtube channel for a long time and finally I took action and I did it!”

Bailey was promoted!

In her own words:

“After working my butt off for GoDaddy as a contractor for a year and a half, I was offered a full-time employee position this week and I’ve accepted it! Yay for PTO, pay raise and benefits!”

Ela has changed her career!

In her own words:

“Almost 1 year ago I wrote an article about my journey into software engineering. I spent 9,5 years in recruitment (out of which 6 years at Microsoft as a Talent Sourcer). I’m a self-taught dev, but I wouldn’t be here without the support of many wonderful people. Hope it will be helpful for others thinking about a career change, it’s never too late to start following your dreams!”

Dasani has been nominated in 3 categories for the WomenTech Network Global Awards!

Those categories are: Mentor of the Year, Women in Tech Ally of the Year, WomenTech Community Award 🥰

Congratulations, Dasani!! You never fail to amaze us, keep going, reaching new heights and inspiring everyone around you!

Tamara has reached the “Bronze Tier Inventor” status, for filing 2 patent applications with the US patent office!

This is incredible, Tamara! So happy and so proud of you, it’s amazing how much you can achieve when you believe in yourself ❤️ Hopefully your example will inspire other women to file patents and move that 13% statistic upwards!
