February 25: Women in Tech Weekly Issue 47

Another Tuesday, another dose of inspiration ? As always, we have some amazing stories from truly wonderful women, as well as highly useful resources for anyone interested in tech, however, this time I wanted to share something else as well…

I had the unpleasant experience of someone trying to hack me. It is terrible, and it could happen to anyone, so I wanted to share the story of what happened and hopefully help you protect yourself. Stay safe out there while you’re leaving your mark.

If you have a story to share that you think could help or motivate others, or you just want to spread the joy of your accomplishments, make sure to check out the submission form below, and I’ll see you next Tuesday ?

Featured Woman ?‍?

Shylia Yvonne

Shylia is such a beautiful soul and an absolute badass! Her transition into tech started around 3-4 years ago through a Snapchat program and since then she has become a role model for many of us. She is breaking stereotypes, combining tech with arts and showing us how to have a good time while having a big open heart.

First working week ? Finally Friday… it was hard week actually. Mostly mentally and emotionally ?. So many people and information which don’t get to one complete system in my head. I hate to change job and do it only if there’s big reason for that. It’s a process which requires a lot of resources from you and all people around – colleagues, family and friends who’re supporting you. I usually have a lot of stress about it. Usually I have emotional swings from total euphoria to total regrets about whole my life ?. Fortunately, afternoon I got positive feedback about my onboarding week from team-mates. At the end of the day Smartly.io makes opened demo and developers have beer ? hour. Actually, it creates real Friday mood and makes you feel relaxed. And even some dogs ? come on Friday to support their buddies. Good tradition!
