Celebrations 🥂🎉

Christina participated as a judge in a school’s STEM competition!

In her own words:

“I volunteer as a STEM professional at Hill End primary school in regional NSW. I recently helped judge their annual STEM competition. A number of remote regional primary schools were invited to send teams to participate in this competition. These remote schools are hundreds of kilometers apart, and some have only 15 children! The children had to complete 3 STEM-based challenges using creativity and teamwork. It was a fantastic day and a great initiative.”

Magda launched Python’s Advent Calendar!

In her own words:

“This year I’m launching the 𝘗𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘯’𝘴 𝘈𝘥𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘊𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘳 challenge for those who want to improve their Python coding skills and.. win a nice, nerdy Xmas present! ⁣🎁 The participants (over 150 coders!) need to solve all of the 24 small tasks on a daily basis to get a chance of receiving a gift from Santa’s helper 🎅”

Nashali got her first internship offer!

In her own words:

“After a very difficult couple of years with personal problems, I’m finally getting back on track with my studies and future career. It’s been a dream for years to obtain an opportunity where I can finally have a little taste of what’s it like to work as a computer engineer and now this is my chance. And now I was offered an internship opportunity in Texas with Verizon.”

Amber finished her first year of her BS in Computer Science program!

In her own words:

“Today marks one year since deciding to go back to school for a BS in Computer Science. One year down and I am halfway through my program 🙌”

Alison made the 2019 Bitch 50 list!

“The Bitch 50 highlights the firsts and the pioneers; the people who created a ripple or a path from the margins to the center.” – and Alison was recognized in the Science and Tech section next to Katie Bouman who discovered the Black Hole!! This is amazing, Alison, we are all so proud of you! Thank you for inspiring all of us to make our dreams a reality even if it means creating a completely new path for them.
